My doctoral research examines social isolation in relation to vascular disease and mortality among adults in the UK. Using data from the Million Women Study and UK biobank, this research will investigate the independent effects of social isolation in addition to potential psychosocial, behavioral, and physiological mechanisms linking social isolation to adverse health outcomes. This work is supervised by Dr. Sarah Floud and Dr. Isobel Barnes.  More generally, I am fascinated by social relationships and their impacts on population health & healthcare delivery.
